As a Corporate Counsel/ General Counsel, you will have worked for a legal department in a SaaS-based tech company, handling domestic and international revenue sales contracts such as subscription, software, and services agreements. This position will report directly to the CFO. The position will have significant interaction with executives as well as a nationally distributed sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate, draft, and analyze a wide variety of commercial contracts including subscription services, software licensing, consulting/professional services, procurement, and confidentiality agreements
  • Counsel multiple business lines within Sauce Labs including Sales, Product and Marketing, and Engineering on legal issues and risks, complex deal structures, corporate policies and procedures, data privacy, and intellectual property protection
  • Support the continuous improvement of standard forms of agreement and legal processes

Requirements:

  • Draft metrics to ship with your features to measure usage and other success indicators, monitor those metrics, and determine if the work is successful or requires changes
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to prepare release and launch materials, author announcement blog posts, and host webinars when appropriate
  • Act as the voice of the customer for your area of responsibility. Build deep customer understanding via meetings, surveys, analytics, beta testing and usability research

Skills, Experience, & Qualities:

  • Minimum 3 years of software product management experience
  • Computer Science degree or professional experience as a software engineer
  • Experience working with REST APIs
  • Ability to weigh technical trade-offs and have in-depth discussions with engineers on the nuances of complex engineering systems
  • Able to decompose user challenges and translate into product solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively address technical and non-technical audiences both internally and externally
  • Strong understanding of agile development philosophies and best practices

We are headquartered in San Francisco, CA and we are on the hunt for top talent. Currently, we are in need of a Solution Engineer with strong client facing skills. You must bring a high level of technical expertise to the entire sales process.

Daily Responsibilities:

You will be meeting with clients, interpreting their needs, developing, prototyping, and delivering solutions. You'll also be implementing and supporting said solutions. We need someone who is a very polished communicator with (minimally) a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering. You will play a critical - sometimes onsite - role in our sales process, and you'll be building and maintaining relationships with technical decision makers.
