We are kicking off a series of posts highlighting our team of experts, starting with our senior director of field services, Marcus Merrell.

If you’ve been around the Selenium world for any length of time, you’ve likely run into Marcus Merrell. As an organizing member of the Selenium Conference, Marcus is heavily involved in bringing together the Selenium open source community to meet and share ideas at the annual conference.
Marcus is our senior director of field services, and he leads a team that is well qualified to help customers with their collective expertise in release management, CI/CD, cloud software and container management. He is also experienced in analytics and marketing automation.
Marcus’ role at Sauce Labs allows him to do what he’s passionate about: help people build an automation program that is solid and sustainable. We recently sat down with Marcus and talked about how he does it. At SauceCon Online coming up May 12 and 14, Marcus will present on Testing Better With Data. Data is the key to testing better, because you need insights into what is (and perhaps more importantly, what is not) working in your testing practice. Along with his co-presenter Alistair Heys, Marcus will take a deep dive into some of the ways that data can help augment your continuous testing strategy and share how you can use analytic insights to help accelerate quality. Marcus will also sit on the Ask the Experts panel during the event.
