Meet the Experts: Diego Molina

One thing we’re particularly proud of around here is our team of automated testing experts and open source contributors. We’ve got a whole team of people who eat, sleep, and breathe testing—and love to share their knowledge with others. This is the next in a series of posts highlighting our team of experts, featuring Selenium contributor and Sauce Labs senior software engineer Diego Molina.

As a Selenium core committer, Diego Molina is all in on open source software. “Open source is the gate to get to know the world,” he says. “It opens your mind and allows you to meet a lot of people and the community, and the more you learn about open source the easier it is to grow yourself as a professional and as a person.”

Diego runs the Continuous Testing Meetup Berlin—a group that provides an environment for local testers to share knowledge and participate in the community. One thing he loves about that is that it allows him to get input from that community and in turn feed that knowledge back into making the Sauce Labs platform better.

Diego started on the live testing team at Sauce, helping users get the most out of their manual and exploratory testing. Currently, he is part of the Sauce Labs Open Source Program Office, which means he helps other Saucers get started working with open source. Diego has put in a great deal of time working on the Selenium project, especially in improving the documentation and expanding into different languages so people across cultures can use Selenium to simplify and enhance their continuous testing efforts.

A proud Colombian, Diego takes a few things seriously (besides testing, of course): futbol and salsa dancing! Get to know Diego in this video.
