Backed by TPG and Riverwood Capital, we are shaping the future of digital confidence - join us!

The Role:

The Mobile Device Infrastructure team is one of the most important core teams in our real device infrastructure product line. It doesn’t only maintain our real device fleet in a healthy state which is essential to our customers, but it also offers services and abstractions used by other teams to interface with the mobile devices fleet in order to elevate the customer experience with added value such as advanced insights and troubleshooting capabilities. Both are embodied in complex and challenging problems that require strong backend skills and a deep understanding of mobile device systems.

As a member of a constantly evolving team, your responsibilities will frequently adapt and grow. However, we ensure consistent context and scope throughout a project's lifecycle. This fosters a work environment that is both focused and enjoyable, offering numerous learning opportunities.

As a Software Engineer in the Mobile Device Infrastructure team you will:

  • Write, maintain and review mobile agents, backend and frontend services.
  • Work with mobile apps and frameworks to integrate them into our infrastructure.
  • Utilize mobile OS APIs and protocols such as USB or network traffic to manage our real device fleet.
  • Adapt the behavior of mobile devices to our lease based use-case.
  • Have the opportunity to lead projects and drive successful outcomes

Responsibilities:

  • Improve device availability by mitigating device specific issues.
  • Optimize device fleet management performance by tweaking device allocation and cleanup processes.
  • Expose and maintain metrics to ensure data driven decision making.
  • Own the solution end to end, from mobile agents, backend services and frontend implementations including maintaining own CI/CD pipelines.
  • Set a high standard for code quality and best-practice.

Required Skills:

  • 2-5 years of Software Development experience.
  • Java, Kotlin and Golang
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Linux and Unix based system knowledge
  • Mobile app development knowledge

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Android system internals and communication protocols knowledge (AOSP, Device Owner, MDM profiles, adb protocol, aapt)
  • Objective C / Swift knowledge
  • DevOps knowledge: docker containers, kubernetes, ansible, terraform, k8s
  • Backend/Frontend experience
  • Testing Frameworks (Espresso, XCUITest, Appium)
