The Role:

Sauce Labs Engineering is looking for a Security Engineer who can use their experience to support the Security function in our Site Reliability Engineering & Security team. If you consider yourself a thoughtful, kind, and supportive person, this might be a good fit for you. You must be eager to learn, enjoy exploring as well as working closely with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all team meetings and collaborate in cross-team initiatives as needed
  • Perform infrastructure, network, application, and policy level security assessments for Sauce Labs’ environments, products, and services.
  • Design, build, and maintain security controls in an agile DevOps environment with a bias toward reduced toil and increased autonomy
  • Participate in our Bug Bounty Program
  • Facilitate external and internal penetration tests to continuously assess our products and environments for vulnerabilities.
  • Forensic analysis and incident response, including participating in an on-call rotation schedule.
  • Design, test, and deploy systems to improve security monitoring and response capabilities across a hybrid and multi-cloud environment.
  • Create and maintain scripts and custom-built tools to automate routine security tasks and increase our security posture.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3-5 years work experience in a hands-on security engineering role
  • Experience integrating security early in the software development lifecycle
  • Experience working with backend systems that consume and produce data via APIs
  • Experience working with or managing a SIEM solution
  • Experience with at least one programming language such as Python or Go
  • Experience with vulnerability management and/or penetration testing
  • Experience identifying and responding to internal and external threats

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with network and/or host based IDS/IPS or Web Application Firewalls
  • Working knowledge of OWASP web application security controls
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with securing containers and/or Kubernetes
  • Experience with CSPM, SSPM, or similar
  • CISSP, CSSLP, GWAPT, SANS, or other security certifications

We are excited to share the base salary for this position exclusive of fringe benefits, potential bonuses or stock-based compensation. Your base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience, along with its relationship to the base salaries of current team members at Sauce Labs that are similarly situated.
