The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Global Business Partner Team supporting our global organizations in North America and EMEA. This People Business Partner (PBP) position is aligned with 2+ executives and their departments and is their partner and trusted advisor in all things People.  Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this position builds partnerships across the People functions of Talent Acquisition, People Ops to deliver value-added programs and services to leadership and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The People BP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its short, mid and long-range plans, its culture and its competition

Responsibilities:

 Operational & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Act as a change agent to further enhance our growth culture and align teams to business goals.
  • Build credibility with leaders by providing insights and guidance on People issues and broader business issues.
  • Partner with leaders on organization design and team dynamics issues, offering insightful mitigation strategies as appropriate.
  • Design and leverage integrated people strategies based on a holistic understanding of our diverse workforce; enabling the attraction, development and retention of talent.
  • Manage and facilitate organizational development, leadership coaching and team building that support change and growth.
  • Leveraging data analysis and reporting from People Ops, provide actionable insights, based on business and People needs.
  • Integrate and partner with People Team colleagues in TA, TD, People Ops, legal and finance to implement solutions and scale the business.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. If an investigation is warranted, engage with People Ops.

Performance & Talent Management

  • Work with Department leaders and managers to improve employee performance and, as necessary, guide them through the performance improvement and termination processes, in compliance with local law.
  • Provide programmatic support, thought partnership and coaching to management levels of the organization.
  • Proactively assess team and manager development needs, make recommendations and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Execute on talent management strategies to support a team’s growth and individual development plans.
  • Facilitate calibration sessions and development sessions within the performance management cycle.

Required Skills:

  • Cross-cultural experience working in a global, high-tech environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work with data and help leaders understand the importance and impact of that data.  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • This role requires traveling to various offices, possibly internationally.  Must be able and willing to travel for up to a week at a time.

Education and Experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience partnering  with Executives in the c-suite as a global People Business Partner in the tech sector.
  • Working knowledge of multiple People disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and respective local employment laws.
  • Training/certification in Change Management a plus
  • Training/certification in coaching a plus
  • Experience in M&A a plus

We are a hybrid workplace that recognizes the importance of flexibility while valuing in-person collaboration and relationship building. As a result, Saucers located near an office location must be able and willing to come into the office. Those hired remotely must be able and willing to travel to an office as required by the specific role.
