SauceCon speaker Paul Grizzaffi has many diverse interests: wine tasting, collecting music memorabilia...and High-Volume Automated Testing (HiVAT).
His knowledge of HiVAT is what Paul will be bringing to SauceCon 2018. He first read about it several years ago and has since successfully implemented HiVAT facets in a few projects. He is now passionate about sharing those successes with others in the testing community.
At SauceCon March 1-2, Paul will be focusing specifically on randomization--a powerful aspect of automation, but one that we must take care to handle appropriately. During Paul’s talk, conference attendees will learn basic tenets of HiVAT, see example use cases for random clicking via experience reports, and learn important considerations when introducing randomization into testing.
Paul’s career has focused on the creation and deployment of automated test strategies, frameworks, tools, and platforms. Paul has created automation platforms and tool frameworks based on proprietary, open source and vendor-supplied tool chains in diverse product environments including telecom, stock trading, E-commerce, and healthcare.
As a principal automation architect at Magenic, Paul does assessments of client QA, testing and automation programs and creates proofs of concept for client automation implementations. He is an active member of the testing community, presenting frequently at both local and national meetings and conferences. He is an advisor to Software Test Professionals and STPCon, as well as a member of the Industry Advisory Board of the Advanced Research Center for Software Testing and Quality Assurance (STQA) at UT Dallas.
When he’s not at work, he enjoys spending time with his twin boys and trying new wines with his wife. If you see Paul at SauceCon, ask him about his collection of rock and heavy metal music memorabilia!
