Well, we did it: we have officially run one billion tests! We're pretty proud of getting to that milestone earlier this week, and proud of what our customers have been able to accomplish with automated testing. In particular, we want to give a shout-out to Walmart eCommerce, who ran the billionth test on the Sauce Labs platform.
Not to toot our own horn too much, but we've accomplished quite a bit over the last 12 months. It was only a year ago that we ran our 500 millionth test in March 2016, and lots has happened in between:
- Sauce Labs entered the mobile app testing market. We were named a contender in the Forrester Mobile Wave and we closed out the year by acquiring TestObject to add a real device mobile app testing platform.
- Sauce Labs also won a number of awards to recognize our growth. We were named to the Inc 5000 list as one of the top 20 companies in the Bay Area; we were named one of San Francisco Business Times Bay Area's Fastest Growing Private Companies for the third straight year, and we were named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 500.
- All the while, we continued to remain strong in our commitment to the open source community by donating the Appium project to the JS Foundation, sponsoring dozens of local Selenium and Appium meet-ups, as well as providing scholarships to underrepresented communities at popular dev conferences. And, we've just joined the W3C!
What a difference a year makes! As excited as we are for this milestone, we are even more excited about our amazing customers. Stay tuned as we share stories from real customers who will be speaking at our first-ever user conference, SauceCon, this summer in San Francisco. Sign up before it's too late!
