SAN FRANCISCO – March 29, 2016 – Sauce Labs, Inc., provider of the world’s largest cloud-based platform for automated testing of web and mobile applications, today announced its presence at Microsoft Build 2016 conference, taking place March 30 – April 1 in San Francisco. Sauce Labs will demo its new plugin for Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) at booth #417.

“Sauce continues to develop our strategic relationship with Microsoft as we work to bring the benefits of automated testing to a broader audience,” said Charles Ramsey, CEO of Sauce Labs. “Our new plugin for Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services is the latest development in our work to accelerate development by removing the time and expense associated with traditional testing.”

The new plugin for VSTS enables users to seamlessly launch tests on Sauce Labs as part of their VSTS or TFS (Team Foundation Server) build to achieve Continuous Integration (CI). Test results and detailed reports (including videos, screenshots and logs) are also returned into Visual Studio and TFS to enable team collaboration and expedite the debugging process.

Separately, Jonathan Lipps, Director of Engineering, Sauce Labs and project lead on the Appium open source project, will be at Build discussing Microsoft’s recent decision to support the same automation API (the JSON Wire Protocol) that Appium supports. Not only does this decision validate Appium’s position as the industry standard framework for automated mobile app testing, it also expands the use of Appium beyond mobile to Windows desktop apps. Jonathan will be interviewed at the Microsoft Channel9 live session booth in the Moscone Center on Wednesday, March 30 from 4:00 to 4:30pm.

Sauce Labs provides a high-performance, cloud-based automated testing platform that is optimized for CI and CD workflows. When tests are automated and run in parallel on virtual machines, testing time is significantly reduced and IT teams no longer need to devote time to managing testing infrastructure. When paired with a CI system, multiple development teams can instantly provision additional testing resources to test web as well as native and hybrid mobile applications, continuously and affordably. Sauce Labs currently supports more than 700 browser, operating system and device platform combinations.

Pub Crawl With Sauce!Join Sauce Labs on Thursday, March 31 at 7:30 pm at Tropisueño in downtown San Francisco for the Microsoft Build Attendee Party Pub Crawl. There will be drinks (including an extra spicy margarita), food, and Sauce Labs’ signature hot sauces.
